Dr Cecil Chao Sze-Tsung 趙世曾 is a Hong Kong architect and property developer. Born in Shanghai in 1936, the son of the shipping founder Chao Tsong-yea, he read architecture in England and came home to the Hong Kong Government's Buildings Office, where in the early 1960s he learned from the inside how a city is built. In 1964 he opened his own architectural practice, later Cecil Chao & Associates, and in 1988 he founded Cheuk Nang (Holdings) Limited.

He gave to what he loved: education, medical research, heritage, the game of basketball he played into old age.

The Cecil Chao Charitable Foundation keeps this record of his life and work. Journalists, researchers and anyone writing about him are welcome to draw on it.
